Paramount+ secures exclusive UEFA Champions League streaming rights

Paramount+ has secured exclusive streaming rights for the UEFA Champions League starting from the 2026-27 season.

Paramount+ has announced a landmark multi-year deal to exclusively stream all UEFA Champions League fixtures in the United States starting from the 2026–27 season. The agreement covers all 189 group-stage and knockout round matches per season, including the final, and runs for an initial period of three years with options to extend.

What this means for subscribers

All matches will be available live on both the Essential and Paramount+ with Showtime plans at no additional cost. Paramount+ will invest heavily in original Champions League programming including dedicated pre-match shows, tactical analysis, and post-match breakdowns hosted from a new London studio.

CBS Sports will continue to simulcast selected marquee fixtures on linear television for free-to-air viewers. The deal does not include UEFA Europa League or Conference League rights, which remain with separate broadcasters. Paramount+ is expected to see a significant boost in subscriber numbers ahead of the 2026–27 season launch.
