Netflix will bring an ad-supported plan to the Netherlands in 2027

Netflix confirmed it will launch a cheaper subscription with advertising in the Netherlands in 2027. Dutch plans are currently ad-free, at €9.99, €15.99 and €20.99 per month.

Netflix will launch a cheaper ad-supported subscription in the Netherlands from 2027, the company confirmed in May 2026. No launch date or price has been announced yet.

One of the last ad-free markets

The Netherlands is one of the last major European markets where Netflix is still ad-free. Current Dutch plans cost €9.99, €15.99 and €20.99 per month, all without advertising. Ad-supported tiers have existed since 2022 in the US, France and Germany, where they became the cheapest entry point — in the US the ad plan costs $8.99, against $19.99 for the standard tier.

What to watch for

The exact price of the Dutch ad plan has not been announced. In other markets, subscribers who choose the ad tier see advertising breaks during films and series; existing subscribers will not be forced to switch. Netflix says it will share more details closer to launch.
